Work schedule management application

One of my assignments as UX designer (generalist) in Inovatica was to design extra functionalities to the existing mobile application.

CHALLANGE:
Design and support developement of additional functionalities in existing iPhone application for work schelude tracking. 
The application was previously designed in our company, by the UX / Visual designer, who didn't work in the company anymore. 

I started with understanding the requirements and users flows. Although there was a lot of space to provide fancy and comfy solutions for the users, I could not do it. The mobile application was a reflection of the existing, desktop system, with a lot of inconveniences, which I couldn't fix, because this was not the scope of this project. 

I met the users representative and suggested the solutions for the required functionalities. The system was build out of native components of the mobile systems (iOS devices), so I used design system to presented the ideas directly in Adobe XD mockups, showing the IxA in the same time (on the clickable prototype).

Sometimes it happens that the UX designers are restricted with some business / management processes. Or, they joined the project late.
I think it's extremely important to engage a UX person into the project as early as possible. The collaboration is a must, if the project is to be a success.
